Bomb Threat Made To Santa Clara County Building Cleared

Two K9 units were brought in to evaluate the Santa Clara Co Alternate Defender's Office Monday after an anonymous caller made a bomb threat.

SAN JOSE, CA -- Santa Clara County Sheriff's deputies responded to and cleared a bomb threat made to the Santa Clara County Alternate Defender’s Office on Mission Street in San Jose at 11:30 a.m. Monday.

An anonymous caller said there were two explosives somewhere inside of the building. Deputies quickly arrived, evacuated all of the employees and began meticulously searching the area.

Two K9s on the bomb squad, Nala and Yoshi, were brought in to sniff out explosives in the building and found nothing suspicious, along with the county deputies working alongside the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Consequently, the building was cleared to occupy.

Detectives are actively attempting to identify the caller.
