Campbell Avenue in Downtown Closed Monday and Tuesday

Portions of the street will be closed to through traffic on July 22 and 23.

Construction in downtown Campbell will close parts of Campbell Avenue to through traffic today and Tuesday.

According to the city of Campbell's website, the construction one-way traffic on Campbell Avenue and access to all sidewalks will be maintained.  

San Jose Water Company is retiring its 79-year-old water main in downtown and replacing it with new lines along E Campbell Avenue from 3rd street to west of the railroad tracks. Work also included water main replacement on Central Avenue from E Campbell Avenue to Campbell City Hall.

Work being done on July 22 and 23 includes a slurry seal that will go over all the new trenches on Campbell and Central avenues, First, Second and Third streets. After the slurry is applied, the affected roadways will be closed giving it time to set.

  • N. Central Ave. (Northbound) from E. Campbell Ave. Civic Center Dr.
