Car On Light Rail Tracks Halts Service

The Valley Transportation Authority temporarily stopped the service Monday morning between the Ayer/Japantown and Civic Center stations.

SAN JOSE, CA -- Due to a vehicle on the tracks, light-rail service was stopped Monday morning until the car was cleared between the Ayer/Japantown and Civic Center stations in San Jose, according to an alert sent shortly before 10 a.m. by the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority.

Bus service was operating along the route to assist the transportation issue, according to the VTA.
