CHP Working SR-17 PM Crash; Morning Collision Cleared On I280

SAN JOSE, CA -- And again, a crash was reported by California Highway Patrol near Summit Road on the northbound side of State Route 17.

The lanes have been cleared as of 5:23 p.m., but motorists can expect delays.

Earlier, a crash with a subsequent fire blocked Interstate 280's left lane and shoulder on the northbound side where the highway meets up with Interstate 880 in the early morning hours but has since been cleared, CHP reported at 6:54 a.m. A passenger complained of pain from an injured knee from that incident.

The San Jose Fire Department had responded to the fire since put out.
