Fatal Shooting Victim In San Jose Identified As Fresno Man

The 34-year-old man had been arrested three years ago on suspicion of human trafficking.

SAN JOSE, CA -- A man killed in a San Jose shooting on Dec. 15 has been identified as 34-year-old Nathan Johnson-Harper of Fresno, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.

Police responded to the 1500 block of Almaden Expressway shortly before 10 p.m. after firefighters were called to an emergency. Johnson-Harper was hospitalized with at least one gunshot wound
and died a short time later. Police have not released any information about a possible suspect.

In August 2015, Johnson-Harper was arrested on suspicion of human trafficking and conspiracy in Bakersfield after a police found a 17-year-old victim during a prostitution sting.
