Fatal South Bay Shooting Suspect Arrested: Cops

The suspect was arrested attempting to cross the border in San Diego County, authorities.

SAN JOSÉ, CA — The suspect in a South Bay double-shooting Thursday night that left at least one person dead was arrested in San Diego County, authorities said Friday.

The suspect was arrested attempting to cross the border in San Ysidro, the San José Police Department tweeted at 9:21 a.m.

“Suspect located and arrested attempting to cross the border in San Ysidro, CA. Special thanks to @CHP_San_Diego for the assist,” the agency tweeted. “Great job by our Homicide detectives, Patrol Officers, and other investigative resources.”

Officers at around 10:30 p.m. Thursday responding to the 1100 block of East Williams St. on the repot of a shooting found two adult victims, each suffering from at least one gunshot wound, police said.

The agency at 7:47 a.m. Friday said in a tweet the agency is investigating the shooting as a homicide.
