SAN JOSE, CA -- A 23-year-old man who died in a multiple-vehicle crash Sunday on Interstate Highway 280 in San Jose has been identified as Rudy Estorga Jr., according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.

California Highway Patrol officials said Estorga was driving a black Mitsubishi north on Highway 280 at 10th Street at about 4 a.m. when he crashed into a steel bridge railing on the right side of the roadway. He was hit by a red Toyota, which was then hit by a red Nissan, according to the CHP.

Estorga exited his car and was either lying or kneeling in the road when a second Nissan hit him and dragged him to the right shoulder of the highway, CHP officials said.
