Tiki Drink Contest, Breastfeeding World Record Bid and Other Weekend Things to Do in Campbell

Here's our "short list" of happenings this weekend in Campbell.

Campbell loves hosting a good time and this weekend is no exception.

Kicking things off is Downtown Campbell's First Friday event: Hot Night in the Old Town. The event takes place Friday, Aug. 2 from 6-9:00 p.m. and is sponsored by the Downtown Campbell Business Association.

Part of the festivities include a classic car show and live entertainment by:

On Saturday, Aug. 3 Tiny Tots attempts a world record with "The Big Latch On." The event takes place from 10-11:00 a.m, with registration beginning at 10:00 a.m. at 138 Railway Ave. The official count will be held 10:30-10:31 a.m. - babies must breastfeed for a full minute to be counted. 

At 10:35 a.m. there will be a raffle and prizes, and at 10:40 a.m. there will be a Q&A session about breastfeeding with lactation experts. For more information, please phone Melisa Nunez at 408-564-9174.

Also taking place on Saturday, Aug. 3 is a free drop-in Zumba class at the Campbell Library at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday, Aug. 4 will see downtown Campbell's Khartoum host a Tiki Drink Contest, where bartenders compete to see who can make the best Tiki Drink. The contest takes place from 2-6:00 p.m. at Khartoum, 300 Orchard City Dr.
