Garbage Truck Crash In Santa Clara Injures Two
Two men were seriously injured when a garbage truck crashed into a power pole in Santa Clara this morning.

SANTA CLARA - Two men were seriously injured when a garbage truck crashed into a power pole in Santa Clara this morning, a police lieutenant said.
The crash was reported at about 6:20 a.m. in the area of Lafayette Street and Walsh Avenue, located west of Mineta San Jose International Airport, Santa Clara police Lt. Dan Moreno said.
The victims were in a privately owned garbage truck and had to be extricated by emergency crews.

They were taken to a hospital to be treated for their injuries, which are considered serious but not life-threatening, Moreno said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, he said.
