SAN JOSE, CA — A San Jose sushi restaurant has been shuttered by health authorities because of a cockroach infestation, according to reports.

The bugs were spotted at Kenzo Sushi at a prep station, near a grill and in a sushi-cutting area, KRON reported.

Jamie Cho, the owner, told NBC Bay Area that she was surprised her business failed its inspection by the Santa Clara County health department, as she pays to have pest control visit the restaurant monthly. Workers are filling holes, installing a new prep station and deep cleaning, the outlet reported, as Kenzo must pass another inspection to reopen.
