Homicide Victim In S.J. Shooting Identified As Santa Clara Man
The second homicide of the year on Parkmoor Avenue in San Jose claimed the life of a local ironworker.

SAN JOSE, CA -- A man who died in San Jose's second homicide of the year on Sunday has been identified as 41-year-old Matthew Cintas of Santa Clara, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.
Officers responded at 1:16 a.m. Sunday to the shooting at Parkmoor Avenue and Race Street. Cintas was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound and died a short time later at a hospital.
Cintas had worked at Ironworkers Local 377 for about two years, according to the union. Several people shared memories of him on Facebook, and said he would be deeply missed by his children and family.
