Motorcyclist Killed Doing Wheelies In South Bay Parking Lot: Cops

The victim was not wearing a helmet, police said.

SAN JOSÉ, CA — A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday morning after crashing into a wall in a solo-vehicle crash at a South Bay parking lot, police said.

The adult male victim, who has not yet been identified by authorities, was doing wheelies in a parking lot in the 5900 block of Silver Creek Valley Road when the collision occurred, San José police said.

The victim was not wearing a helmet, police said.

Officers at around 9 a.m. responded to the location on the report of a collision, police said.

Officers determined the motorcyclist lost control of his motorcycle and collided into the wall, police said. he suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

This is San José's 49th fatal collision, and the South Bay city's 51st traffic death of 2022.
