New Measles Infection Found In SCC Resident Who Traveled Abroad

Santa Clara County Public Health just confirmed this new case, added to the one confirmed on March 26 of the international county visitor.

CAMPBELL, CA --Santa Clara County public health officials have confirmed another measles case with a county resident who this time was traveling internationally.

This new case is not related to previous cases announced on March 26 and March 6 or to any other current case in California.

The individual was infected with measles while overseas. The Public Health Department is contacting all individuals who might have come in contact with this person while they were contagious. The risk to the public from this new case is very low, health officials added.
