Nonstop Service From San Jose To London Launched By British Airways
British Airways on Wednesday launches the first nonstop air service between San Jose and London for travelers in the Silicon Valley.
SAN JOSE - The first nonstop air service between San Jose and London begins Wednesday for travelers in the Silicon Valley.
British Airways announced it will begin service between Mineta San José International Airport and London Heathrow Airport today, utilizing their Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
British Air said London is the most requested international destination from San Jose for their travelers.

The flight from San Jose leaves at 8:10 p.m., and arrives the next day in London at 2:10 p.m. Economy fare for the first Wednesday, May 4 flight was listed at $1176. on the British Airways website.
Wait a week to go, depart on Wednesday, May 11, and the price for an economy ticket drops to $605.

This is the fourth California destination for British Airways, according to the airline.
Other non stop international flights originating from San Jose include an ANA Airlines flight to Tokoyo, a Hainan Airlines flight to Beijing, and a Volaris Air flight to Guadalajara.
An Air Canada flight direct to Vancouver is expected to begin May 9, and a Lufthansa direct flight to Frankfort is expected to launch July 1, according to the San Jose airport's website.
