"We are having Lord Ganesh bless 49ers to have a successful season leading to Superbowl. Hope is a good thing and we are rooting for 49ers," Tamhankar told Patch.

Every year for the last 25 years, Tamhankar's family has picked a theme and built a model, including one of the Golden Gate Bridge on the 50 year anniversary of its creation and another of the Mars landing.

This year's model is 45 inches wide, 32 inches deep and about 1 foot tall.

"I primarily worked over the weekends and late nights to build it. My younger adult son, constructed front banners and goal posts," Tamhankar told Patch.

Lord Ganesha, or Ganesh, is a significant Hindu deity, known as the Remover of Obstacles and Lord of New Beginnings, invoked for success in new ventures. Symbolizing intellect and wisdom, his elephant-headed form represents attentive listening, discarding the unnecessary and adaptability, Tamhankar told Patch.

"If it makes sense, I would like to donate this model, without Lord Ganesh, to be kept in the 49ers stadium," Tamhankar told Patch.
