SAN JOSE, CA — Authorities in San Jose are searching for an unidentified driver who hit a pedestrian at an intersection earlier this month, causing significant injuries, before fleeing the scene, according to police.
Officers responded to the crash scene around 1:20 a.m. on Oct. 12, at South 4th Street and East San Carlos Street, near San Jose State University.
Investigators said a preliminary investigation determined a vehicle driving south on South 4th Street hit a woman crossing the street before continuing toward southbound Interstate 280.
