Person Struck, Killed By Caltrain Monday Night
The unidentified victim was reported by Caltrain to be on the tracks near the Blossom Hill Station in San Jose.
SAN JOSE, CA — A pedestrian trespassing on the tracks was fatally struck by a southbound Caltrain on Monday night.
Caltrain reported that at 7:26 p.m. an unidentified individual situated on the tracks south of the Blossom Hill Caltrain Station was killed. Emergency personnel responded to the scene in San Jose. Trains were delayed temporarily then reopened at the maximum authorized speed by 10 p.m.
None of the 23 passengers on board the train suffered from injuries, Caltrain reported.

This was Caltrain’s fifth fatality of 2019.
