Purse Snatching Suspect Arrested, San Jose Police Say
According to police, the San Jose man ripped the purse away from the victim, but she was not hurt.

SAN JOSE, CA — A suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of robbery Wednesday in connection with a purse snatching on the 3100 block of Alum Rock Avenue in San Jose that morning, San Jose Police reported.
Officers responded to the 6:28 a.m. call and located an adult female that had been the victim of a robbery. The victim’s purse was taken from her with personal belongings inside. Although the purse was taken by force, she was not injured.
Patrol officers conducted a thorough investigation and identified the suspect involved in the incident as 22-year-old Otoniel Chavezespinoza of San Jose, who was located at his residence and was subsequently arrested. Officers recovered most of the victim’s property taken during the robbery.
