SAN JOSE, CA — A San Jose man was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail Tuesday on suspicion of murder of his one-month-old son, according to police.

Homicide detectives conducted a thorough investigation of the child's death following a 5:55 a.m. call to San Jose Fire last September of the baby boy not breathing in the 6400 block of Berwickshire Way in San Jose. The baby victim, Owen Khovananth, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The probe revealed by detectives working with the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office that the baby suffered blunt force trauma. The extensive investigation identified Kevin Khovananth, the victim's father, as the person responsible for the baby's death, San Jose Police indicated.
