Santa Clara County Hosting Small Business Summit

The county summit is designed to assist local companies with networking, resourcing and marketing.

SAN JOSE, CA -- Santa Clara County is hosting a small business summit to help local companies with enhancing networking, finding resources and creating revenue.

The eighth annual Santa Clara County Small Business Summit is slated for April 30 on 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the county government center in the Board of Supervisors Chambers at 70 West Hedding St. in San Jose.

“The Small Business Summit gathers a broad range of resources and support services for residents looking to establish or expand their business,” Santa Clara County Economic Development Director Bruce Knopf said. “Participants will have the opportunity to meet program decision makers and influencers in an informal setting, learn about the contract bidding process and meet other businesses with whom they may team up to go after larger contracts.”

More than 400 small business owners in Santa Clara County are expected to attend. They'll have the opportunity to meet with county departments to learn about contracting opportunities.

The event is hosted by the Small Business Development Centers, the county, the city of San Jose, the Procurement Technical Assistance Center, the Industry Council for Small Businesses Development and the Enterprise Foundation of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Silicon Valley.
