South Bay Homicide Suspect Arrested

Nhan Vinh Chi, 44 of Sunnyvale, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of homicide and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail, police said.

SUNNYVALE, CA — A South Bay man was arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing over the weekend, San José police said.

Nhan Vinh Chi, 44 of Sunnyvale, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of homicide and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail, police said.

Officers at around 2:05 a.m. Saturday responded to the 1700 block of McKee Road on the report of a stabbing, police said.

Arriving officers administered life-saving measures to an adult male suffering from at least one stab wound, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The motive and circumstances surrounding San José’s 29th reported homicide of 2022 are under investigation, police said.
