South Bay Homicide Suspect Arrested

SAN JOSÉ, CA — A South Bay suspect was arrested Thursday in connection with the killing of a 26-year-old woman earlier this year, San José police said Monday.

Officers at around 7:15 Feb. 24 responded to the 3000 block of Driftwood Drive on the report of someone finding a dead body, police said.

Officers and arriving paramedics found an unresponsive woman at the residence who was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Santa Clara County Coroner's Office autopsy revealed the victim suffered suspicious injuries, police said.

“Based on the Coroner's Office investigation, the case was deemed a homicide,” police said.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
The homicide was the 12th such reported case of 2022, police said.
