South Bay Mom Arrested In Connection With Infant Child’s Death
This is the San José's 33rd reported homicide of 2022.

SAN JOSÉ, CA — A South Bay woman was arrested Thursday in connection with the death of one of her infant twin children, San José police said.
Celina Juarez, 29 of San José, was arrested on suspicion of homicide and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail, police said.
Officers at around 3:15 Nov. 4 responded to the 1400 block of Hurlingham Way on the report of 8-month-old infant twins being unconscious, police said.

One of the children had stopped breathing, and officers immediately began administering CPR, police said.
Both infants were transported to local hospitals, and one died the next day in an intensive care unit.

Homicide detectives and members of the Santa Clara County Severe Child Injury and Death team determined that Juarez was caring for her children at the time of the incident, police said.
Juarez was hospitalized with an unknown medical emergency suffered from an unknown medical emergency and remained there until Thursday, police said.
Juarez was arrested after a warrant was issued charging her with homicide, police said.
