Want to be Student Mayor for a Day?
Tell Campbell why you want to run the city and you can be student mayor for a day. Details Wednesday in Patch.
Mayor Evan Low announced an essay contest Tuesday that will have the student winner act as mayor of Campbell for a day.
The student who writes the best essay of 1,000 words or less telling why they want to be mayor and what they would do to improve the city will get to live the dream and run the city for a day.
Details will be available on the City of Campbell website and on Campbell Patch Wednesday.
The deadline is Nov. 1, so start fantasizing and working on those ideas.
They want a list of three things you would do to improve Campbell and it's open to junior high and high school students. You can email applications to alb@cityofcampbell.com.

What would you do if you were Mayor for a day? The Campbell’s Mayor for a Day 2013 Contest is now accepting applications from all middle school and high school students who reside in Campbell, or who attend a public or private school in Campbell, grades 6-12 only.

Students must submit a maximum 1,000 word essay about their three ideas that would make Campbell a better place to live.

One student will be selected and the winner will have the special opportunity to spend time with the Mayor and receive a special prize.
The deadline for submittal is November 1, 2013.
