High Surf Advisory in Effect This Weekend
A sneaker wave advisory is also in effect for the Santa Cruz and Monterey coastline.

The National Weather Service has issued a high surf and sneaker waves advisory for the Santa Cruz and Monterey coastline in effect this weekend.
A high surf advisory will be in effect from 10 a.m. Saturday through 4 p.m. Sunday. According to the weather service, expect four- to five-foot west swells with a 25- to 27-second dominant period late Friday afternoon. By late Saturday morning, seas will build to eight to 10 feet with occasional sets to 20 feet with a dominant period of 20 to 22 seconds.
A sneaker wave advisory is in effect from late Friday afternoon through late Saturday morning, according to the weather service.
