Santa Cruz Area Bank Robber Is Identified
The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office says it has identified a local bank robber who grabbed cash, then fled from an Aptos bank on Monday.
SANTA CRUZ - The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office says it has identified a local bank robber who grabbed cash, then fled from an Aptos bank on Monday.
The same man has been identified as a suspect in robberies at the Coamerica bank on March 17 and 21st.
According to information provided by police, 53-year-old Randall Scott Dowling allegedly robbed the Aptos branch of Santa Cruz County Bank about 9 a.m. on Monday, April 4.

Police say after getting cash from the teller, Dowling fled the scene.
Police believe Dowling is also the suspected robber of the Coamerica bank at 1960 41st Avenue on March 17th & 21st .

Santa Cruz police say Dowling does not have a current residence, but say he frequents the 41st Avenue corridor from Pleasure Point to Soquel Drive.
Anyone with information is asked to call Sheriff’s Office Detectives at (831) 454-7630.
The Sheriff’s Office is advising anyone who sees Randall Dowling to call 911 immediately.
