Castro Valley Medical Office Named Finalist: HREI Insight Awards
Meridian's Castro Valley Medical Office building was named a finalist for boasting innovative accessibility to health care services.
CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Meridian's Castro Valley Medical Office was named a finalist for the 2021 HREI Insights Awards for "Best New Medical Office Buildings and Other Outpatient Facilities," the real estate company announced.
The awards program is the only one of its kind in the country, which recognizes healthcare real estate development and executive leadership, according to Meridian, a medical real estate developer in the East Bay.
The 25,000-square-foot medical office, located at 20642 John Drive in Castro Valley, was built and designed specifically for one of the Bay Area's largest healthcare providers, Stanford Health Care, according to Meridian.

"We were assigned a dense urban market in which to locate a developable parcel to satisfy our client’s need. Our team was able to quickly identify a site and process the necessary entitlements to allow for the construction of an outpatient medical building and fill Stanford’s requirement that had remained unfulfilled for nearly five years," said John Pollock, Meridian CEO, in a statement.
If the building is selected as the winner, it will be Meridian's fifth HREI national award.
