Tuesday Meeting On Sale Of UCLA Japanese Garden In Bel-Air

The meeting was organized by the Garden Conservancy and an expert on Japanese gardens will speak.

The Garden Conservancy will host a meeting in Bel-Air on the future of the Hannah Carter Japanese Garden, .

The garden is owned by the university and is situated within the Bel-Air community. If sold, the garden could bring in $5.7 million to the university, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Designed in 1959 after a famous garden in Kyoto, the future of the garden has rallied the support of the Garden ConservancyLos Angeles Conservancy, and the California Preservation Foundation.
