A Moth StorySLAM Champion’s hilarious and moving look at the cultural minefield of Japanese etiquette.

Join Miyo for How To Die In Japan, the highly anticipated new show from the creator of the globally successful How To Be Japanese! This is a laugh-out-loud journey through family chaos and the bewildering "TPO" (Time, Place, and Occasion) rules for passing on in Japan.

This isn't just a monologue; it is a live collaboration featuring an original, improvised score by award-winning composer Michael D. Mortilla (Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences). Together, they contrast the rigid customs of Japan with the casual chaos of American life in a way that is smart, side-splitting, and deeply moving.

From the stress of funeral etiquette to the hilarious contrast between rigid Japanese customs and the "casual chaos" of American life, Miyo reminds us that "your normal is not my normal."
