Artesia Teen to Compete in Miss Teen L.A./Anaheim Pageant Today

Chelsea Gingco of Artesia will be competing in the 2012 Miss Teen Los Angeles/Anaheim Pageant at the Servite High School theatre in Anaheim today.

Chelsea submitted an application and took part in the interview process conducted by this year's Los Angeles/Anaheim Pageant Coordinator, and later learned that she had been accepted into this year's competition. 

The Artesia resident will be competing in the Miss Teen division -- one of four divisions that will have young ladies between the ages of 7 and 19 competing in modeling routines, which include casual wear and formal wear. Chelsea will also have the opportunity to display her personality and interviewing skills during the interview portion with this year's Los Angeles/Anaheim judging panel. Personality is the number one aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of competition. She'll have the opportunity to win a share of thousands of dollars in prizes and specialty gifts that will be distributed to contestants.  

If she wins the title of Miss Los Angeles/Anaheim, she would represent the surrounding communities at the national competition in Orlando, Fla. More than $30,000 in prizes and awards will be presented at the national event and each winner will also enjoy this all-expense paid trip of six days and five nights.

Should Chelsea move onto the national competition, community businesses, organizations, and private individuals can assist her in competing for the national title. Sponsorship allows each contestant to receive all the necessary training, rehearsals, and financial support to allow them to become a viable candidate.
