Zampella co-founded Respawn Entertainment in 2010, which was acquired by EA in 2017, according to the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, where he served on the board of directors.

Respawn created a number of best-selling games, including Titanfall, Titanfall 2, Apex Legends and STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order, the academy’s website says.
“Prior to founding Respawn, Zampella co-created Infinity Ward — a studio specializing in military action shooters,” the website says. “Infinity Ward’s creation, Call of Duty, was first published in 2003 by Activision and quickly became one of the industry’s most prolific video game franchises.”
