Motorcyclist Killed in Anaheim Crash

An elderly driver was turning left and did not see the motorcyclist.

ANAHEIM, CA - A motorcyclist was killed Monday in a collision with a car in Anaheim, police said.

The crash happened just before 7:30 a.m. in the area of West Katella Avenue and South Garden Drive, east of Brookhurst Street, Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.

The 29-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, Wyatt said. The Anaheim resident's name was withheld pending notification of his family.

A 72-year-old woman behind the wheel of a 2007 Cadillac was turning left from Garden Drive to Katella and did not see the westbound motorcyclist, Wyatt said.
