Truck and Vehicle Collide in Cerritos, Passenger Dies

The coroner is withholding the name of the woman in her 50s, spending notification of the family.

A collision between a truck and another vehicle in Cerritos today left a woman dead, authorities said.

The woman, in her 50s, died at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 6 a.m. at 166th Street and Bloomfield Avenue, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

According to the preliminary investigation, the woman was a passenger in the smaller vehicle, Winter said. Her name was withheld, pending family notification.
