Arrest of Parolee At-Large Prompts Unexpected Arrest

While arresting a wanted parolee, Citrus Heights Police observed a woman driving a stolen vehicle.

Arriving at a residence with the intent to arrest a wanted parolee, Citrus Heights Police ended up arresting him and a woman who arrived at the scene driving a stolen vehicle.

Timothy Boone, 30, and Kristine Rounseville, 23, were both taken into custody sometime after 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning on the 6100 block of the Peoria Drive residence, according to Citrus Heights police records.

While arresting Boone on a no-bail warrant, officers observed Rounseville drive up to the residence and park the stolen vehicle.

According to police, the car Rounseville was driving, a white Toyota Camry, had been reported stolen from Placerville in December 2011. It had two license plates attached that didn’t belong to the Camry that were also reported stolen in Elk Grove on August 21, 2012. Rounseville exited the vehicle and went into the residence before officers were prepared to detain her.

Citrus Heights officers located narcotics-related contacts at the Peoria Drive residence the day before the arrests.

Officers were able to locate Boone hiding in one of the home's bedrooms with the assistance of Sacramento Police Canine, according to the police report.
