Business May Be Improving at Sunrise MarketPlace

Good news for Citrus Heights: Business may be improving at Sunrise MarketPlace, the umbrella of Citrus Heights shopping centers including Sunrise Mall and Marketplace at Birdcage. 

That's according to a recent article in the Sacramento Business Journal. The Sunrise MarketPlace executive director told the SBJ that they're finding that property owners are putting some money into upgrades and customers are spending more.

The district has implemented some tactics to attract people to the area, not only for shopping, but also for entertainment. Big-name entertainers like John Michael Montgomery, Trace Adkins and Boys II Men plan to perform at the Sunrise at Night Concert Series at the Sunrise MarketPlace this summer.  

The Sacramento Capitals tennis team also returns to play in the Outdoor Pavilion at Sunrise Mall starting July 7.
