Join the Sacramento Valley Veterans as they participate in the 3rd Annual Veterans Appreciation Picnic in Rusch Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event is open to all veterans, servicemembers, and families. The event will feature a honor guard, city and state representatives, resources, music, and a free BBQ lunch. The event is a collaboration between the American Legion Post 637, General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC), Citrus Heights Women's Club, Area 10 Neighborhood Association and more.
Volunteers are still being invited to help man the booth and hand out resources and information on the SVV. Those interested in volunteering can send a message to info@sacvalleyvets.com.
Music will include the community marching band, community choir, the band Assorted Nuts, Dana & Jim Papastathis from Mr. December and Steve Stizzon from Mmbo Gumbo. A sing-along to honor veterans will is also expected.
