Intoxicated Woman Allegedly Makes False Police Report, Arrested

Arrest information collected has been provided by the Citrus Heights Police Department and does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

When Citrus Heights Police Department officers arrived at the residence of Nicholl Schmid on Sept. 18, they were expecting a hostage situation. What they found couldn't have been further from it.

According to police, Schmid, 32, stated there were male subjects with guns inside her apartment not allowing her to leave. Instead, what officers found was an intoxicated Schmid in her home with one unarmed male adult.

The male exited the apartment without incident and without any knowledge of a phone call having been made to the police, said CHPD spokesman Chad Morris.

According to the police report, Schmid would take a little coaxing from her apartment. After negotiating with Schmid she agreed to peacefully exit the apartment and was detained.

After a more conclusive interview was conducted with Schmid, police placed her under arrest for being under the influence of a controlled substance as well as making a false police report.
