A man was killed Monday morning in a multiple-vehicle car crash after witnesses said he began drifting across lanes on Highway 50 according to KCRA 3 news.

The California Highway Patrol told KCRA the vehicle was traveling westbound near Sunrise Boulevard before crashing into a center divide. A second car was hit after the driver hit the divide.

Authorities said the driver hit another car after crossing traffic again. The man, of Placerville, was killed in the crash. A lane was shut down on the highway following the crash.
