San Juan Unified Prevention Program Targets Cyber-Bullying
The school district will promote a number of new anti-bullying programs beginning Sept. 12.

How prepared are students and their parents when it comes to bullying? Sure, it's something everyone will likely have to deal with at some point in life, but in an age where technology and information reign supreme, bullying comes in new forms. In the rapidly-evolving digital age, bullying has taken on a new form that many parents haven't perhaps seen: Cyber-bullying.
As this trend becomes more prolific, San Juan Unified School District officials want to make one thing clear when it comes to bullying: It simply will not be tolerated in any form. Beginning Sept. 12, San Juan officials will begin presenting courses to better prepare students and parents in the event of that student is bullied.
Throughout the first half of the 2012-13 school year, the district’s prevention programs will present workshops on a monthly basis in various district locations, focusing on bullying in all its forms.
