
A suspicious device was spotted next to a bus stop on Auburn Boulevard in Citrus Heights just before 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The device was found to be safe, but caused a portion of Auburn Boulevard to close as law enforcement investigated the suspicious-looking item.

On Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 6:58 p.m., Citrus Heights Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious device next to a bus stop located on the 6000 block of Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights.
The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit responded to the location and rendered the device safe.
There were no specific threats made regarding the device and this incident is under investigation by the Citrus Heights Police Department’s Investigative Services Division detectives.
The Citrus Heights Police Department closed all directions of Auburn Blvd. between Shadow Lane and Manzanita Avenue. All directions of Auburn Blvd. are currently open at this time.
