Claremont's Benton Museum Of Art To Finally Open This Weekend

The Pomona College's museum's opening was delayed because of the pandemic.

CLAREMONT, CA — The art-loving public will finally get to see the collections on display at the Benton Museum of Art when it opens its doors for a community welcome on Saturday, according to the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.

The museum completed construction in June 2019 and was scheduled to open in September 2020. However, the pandemic delayed things, the paper reported.

Now, the museum will finally throw its grand opening on Saturday, from 1 to 5 p.m.

The opening will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and members of the Claremont City Council and Chamber of Commerce will be at the event, museum officials said.

The Benton Museum of Art is at 120 W. Bonita Ave.
