CLAREMONT, CA — Claremont's four-legged residents will once again be able to roam free around Pooch Park starting Wednesday when the dog park reopens to the public.

The park temporarily closed in November for its "biannual turf maintenance and resting period," city officials said. The maintenance involved aerating the park's turf and flushing the area of dog urine and invasive weeds.

"These routine maintenance activities allow for the turf to remain healthy and vibrant during the warmer months," Claremont officials previously said in a statement.
