Holiday Tree Lighting Planned For Claremont Village Next Month

The tree lighting ceremony will feature a visit from Santa Claus and holiday carolers, Claremont officials said.

CLAREMONT, CA — City officials will kick off the holiday season next month with a tree lighting ceremony planned for Dec. 3 in the Claremont Village.

The ceremony will be from 5 to 8 p.m., city officials said. The actual tree lighting will take place at 6 p.m.

Holiday caroling by Dynamite Dawson will serenade attendees with wintertime classics, and Santa Claus will pay a visit to City Hall, officials said.

Several businesses in the Village will act as "Cheer Stops" throughout the night and provide visitors with free treats and special deals, according to a statement from the city. A map of participating businesses will be available at City Hall and the Claremont Depot.
