City of Clovis offices to close for Christmas and New Year's holidays (clovisroundup.com) — Plan ahead: City of Clovis administrative offices will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, though police, fire, and trash pickup will operate as usual. The Clovis Drop-Off Center and city transit services Roundup and Stageline will shut down both holidays before resuming normal schedules.

VIDEO: Woman suspected of mail theft wanted in Clovis (kmph.com) — Police are asking Clovis residents for help identifying a woman suspected of stealing mail from an apartment complex near Villa and Bullard around 3 a.m. on December 5. Investigators say she appeared to use a master key to open multiple mailboxes and a package box, and tips can be shared anonymously with Valley Crime Stoppers or directly through Clovis Police lines and app.

Santa and first responders bring holiday cheer to Valley Children's Hospital (kmph.com) — Clovis Fire crews joined other Valley first responders escorting Santa to Valley Children’s Hospital, brightening the holidays for about 70 young patients. The long-running tradition features a lights-and-sirens procession, gift deliveries, and photos with families. Donations from Target and local foundations helped fill Santa’s bag for kids from across the region.

Fresno Police Arrest Gang Member in Series of Shootings at Same Residence (gvwire.com) — Clovis residents should know that Fresno police, with help from Clovis officers, arrested a 22-year-old suspected gang member at a local home in connection with three November shootings at a Fresno residence. No one was injured in the incidents, but investigators recovered multiple shell casings and strike marks, and the suspect is now jailed without bail on several felony charges.
