Concord PD Seeks Driver Who Hit Bicyclist, Causing Critical Injuries
Police are seeking a black Honda Civic in connection with a hit-and-run that left a bicyclist hospitalized in critical condition.

CONCORD, CA — Concord police were seeking a car, most likely a black Honda Civic, in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a bicyclist critically injured.
The collision involving a car and a bicycle was reported around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday on Willow Pass Road at Diamond Boulevard, on a stretch of roadway between I-680 and Highway 242.
The bicyclist, a 39-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital and was listed in critical condition Thursday, Concord police Sgt. Shawn Phalen said.

"The suspect vehicle appears to be a black Honda Civic," Phalen said. "The vehicle would have sustained damage to the front end, hood, possibly damage to the front windshield, and roof."
The collision remained under investigation Thursday; police asked any witnesses to call Traffic Investigator K. Nanthasiri at 925-603-5962.
