RICHMOND, CA — A San Pablo man who was wanted for questioning in connection with the killing of a dishwasher at a Richmond IHOP on Monday has been hospitalized after shooting himself at a police station parking lot, according to a report by NBC News.
Police say the 44-year-old man entered the San Pablo Police Department station just before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and was trying to talk with officers. But due to a language barrier, communication between the man and the officers was limited, so the 44-year-old walked away, according to the San Pablo Police Department.
That's when, shortly after, the officers heard a single gunshot outside near the department's parking lot, police said.
