Missing Contra Costa Teen Killed In Hit-And-Run: CHP
The CHP asked for the public's help to find the driver responsible for the death of Damond Lazenby Jr., 19, along Highway 4 in Concord.

CONCORD, CA — A Pittsburg teen whose body was found along state Highway 4 in Concord was apparently struck by a vehicle, the California Highway Patrol said Monday.
Damond Lazenby Jr., 19, was reported missing by his family on New Year's Day. His car was found abandoned early that morning near the state Highway 4 overpass on Port Chicago Highway.
His body was found Jan. 7 near the shoulder of state Highway 4 eastbound between Port Chicago Highway and Willow Pass Road in Contra Costa County.

"It appears Lazenby was struck by a vehicle," the CHP said in a statement posted to social media. "The CHP believes Lazenby was struck by the right front portion of a vehicle, and the driver fled the scene. The vehicle is possibly a dark color sedan."
The CHP asked anyone with information regarding the driver or suspect vehicle to leave a detailed message on the CHP 24/7 tip line at 707-917-4491.
