Popular SF Bakery To Open In Concord This Summer

The popular pastry destination plans to open its first outpost outside of San Francisco. What to know.

CONCORD, CA — A wildly popular pastry shop in San Francisco is bringing its beloved mochi-croissant hybrids, lemon meringue twists, blueberry Danishes and more creations to the East Bay this summer, the bakery told KRON4.

The owners of the French Spot told the station that they expect to open their first location outside San Francisco at the Oak Grove Plaza in Concord, near Trader Joe's, in August.

The original location, which resides on the border of Lower Nob Hill and the Tenderloin, first opened its brick-and-mortar shop in 2022 after operating as a pop-up.
