Census Corrects Its Coronado Count
The U.S Census Bureau didn't count people stationed aboard aircraft carriers based at North Island, according to the Union-Tribune.

The U.S Census Bureau corrected its calculation of Coronadoβs population after omitting people stationed aboard three aircraft carriers based at NAS North Island, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported this week.
After the bureau set the population at 18,912, the city questioned the figure. The U-T reported that the city received a letter this week from the Census Bureau that said the error would be corrected and the 2010 population figure would be set at 24,697, an increase over the 2010 Census, which counted 24,100 people in Coronado.
βApparently, the same type of mistake was originally made during the last census in 2000,β Coronado City Manager Blair King told the paper.
