Face-lift for Coronado Boat Launch, Dock Will be Done by Memorial Day

Contractors are rejuvenating a local boat launch and dock. Read on for an update on the ongoing project.

CORONADO, CA - Contractors removed existing and installed new piles last week on Coronado's Dock C and Boat Launch Ramp.

The pre-existing boat launch ramp and boat wash-off area have been demolished as part of the rejuvenation project. Workers have also begun removing large rocks west of the ramp to prepare the area for the new beach entry that will allow for hand launching smaller boats.

In the process of repairs and reconstruction, a contractor broke an unmarked water line early last week while removing concrete in the area. California American Water crews then stopped the leak and repaired the pipe and water was restored to the Glorietta Bay Park restrooms later that evening.
